night and the next morning from 6 a.m, to 9 2. vil

and then

from 1 p.m. to 5 p... I used to see you passing in the even -

ing at a little past 8 p.m. Sometimes I was on duty after

9 p.m.

I have seldom seen you after 9 p.m. I used to see

you passing every other night. Sometimes you were going east

and sometimes west. Between 8 & 9 p.m. it was that you passed

& sometimes between 9 & 10 p.m. I saw you pass there more

than twice, a week.

The jewellery that I claim is worth about

$180.I ao not know whether that is a fourth of the total

value seized. I know Tai Pin Cheung. He belonged to the Cheung

Hing Lane gambling house. If some of the jewellery is marked

in his name I do not know whether it belongs to him or not.

I know Lo Ling. He kept a bamboo ware & porcelain shop. He is

an informer. He follows Tang Chung. I do not know if he kept

a sly brothel. The diamond ring that I staked in the gan-

bling I bought from Lo Ling. I know that Lo Ling pledged

other things. He was always gambling. He has pledged watches

& articles of gold. I do not know whether the pledges of my-

self, Tai Pin Cheung & Lo Ling amount to half of those seiza.

If there are Indian Constables on the beats

round Wa Lane I have heard that they received bribes. I am

not the man that distributed the bribes amongst the Indian

Constables. I did not get 40 cents a day to aistribute &

pocket half of it. I know Au Hing. He is a Tung Koon man like

myself
